Mentor2Youth is on a mission to cultivate purpose through service: The whole child, the whole community; lifelong learners. We open pathways that empower and nurture youth, families, and mentors by living healthy lives, with rewarding careers that foster thriving BIPOC communities and neighborhoods.

Mentor2Youth works to prepare Washtenaw County K-12 students for success in school, work, and life.  We work holistically with youth and their families, to bridge the resource and opportunity gap for Ypsilanti students and keep them on the path to success.

Our mentors begin early, focused on building academic skills, leadership traits, and keeping children in school. We expand their horizons through career exploration, internships, and college preparation. And we provide resources so parents and families have what they need to provide a stable, nurturing environment along the way.

To create this type of change requires hard, intensive work and commitment.  M2Y’s focus is a deep, sustainable change for our students and their families.

Raising Royalty is the holistic theme behind the evolution of Mentor2Youth. This holistic approach is best represented by a Chess Not Checkers paradigm that promotes royalty through an inside-out approach to character development. We establish elite habits in the areas of Purpose, Love, Finances, Wisdom, Community, and Discipline. Through this approach, we bridge opportunity gaps with youth empowerment, family involvement, and community collaboration.
