Mike Bonner is a 14-year veteran of the Standup Comedy scene, and was one of 10 comedians selected in 1999 to appear at the prestigious, HBO-sponsored US Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, Colorado. [1]
Career
He has appeared on Jamie Foxx Presents “Laffapalooza” on Showtime, Russell Simmons HBO’s "Def Comedy Jam All-Stars”, and seven seasons of BET's ComicView where he won his own Grandstand Special. He has appeared numerous times on the BET network. He was also the grand prize winner of the Bay Area Comedy festival in Oakland, California.

Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn. On this night we are going to show our young people what character looks like.

We’ve watched the Grammys, we’ve watched the Oscars, we’ve watched the Golden Globes, and we’ve watched the Academy Awards, now let’s take the time to lift our community for the awesome work that is done right here in Washtenaw County/Ypsilanti. I like to think of this as our community Thanksgiving Meal! There is limited seating due to Covid, but everyone can watch the simulcast.

3 Events Your Participation
Mentor2Youth has three unique events curated around engaging the community members from leaders, officials, businesses, and families. These events are targeted around community involvement in Washtenaw County. Our fundraising efforts are a continuation of our support toward the youth of our county.
Honors Event
An evening soiree celebrating the members of the community with a one-of-a-kind awards night for the nominated members. Held on November 13, 2021.Bowl-a-thon

Here at Mentor2Youth, we aim to serve Washtenaw County with a Ypsilanti first focus as we achieve our mission. So far, we’ve raised $35,000 to help fund the launching of our Young Kings program in collaboration with Young Men of Purpose. However, our work is not done.
Currently, the Young Queens of Ypsilanti Middle School needs our help more than ever because of all that it takes to navigate middle school. In order to garner some much-needed support, we at Mentor2Youth are hosting an auction for our supporters.
To further our efforts, we’d like to invite all of our community businesses to be our official corporate sponsors.
In this role, your company will provide auction items of your choosing to bid off to our loyal donors. Some examples include services, coupons, and packages or items from your organization.
