Washtenaw County Parent Village (WCPV) serves as a collaborative and supportive vehicle for African-American and under-represented minority students and their parents in Washtenaw County. The organization will foster strong, meaningful alliances with schools to encourage academic excellence, leadership skills, cultural awareness, pride and respect, and problem-solving. The main priority is the education of all students with special emphasis on the education of minority students so that they will attain their full educational potential.

Washtenaw County Parent Village (WCPV) endeavors to have an impact in five key areas: Progress toward Racial Equity Goals, the Institutionalization of the Democratic Processes in the Community, Educational Equity, Strengthening the Leadership Capacity within our Community, and to Develop Programs That Truly Solve Our Problems.
